One of the top things in being a human being is our range of emotions. As human beings we have been blessed with getting to experience powerful emotions such as love, joy, happiness, etc.But there is also present those emotions that are just as strong but aren’t as positive.Things like depression, sadness, and anger.
One of the emotions that is so powerful is anger. It is so powerful it can be dangerous in some people. It is this type of instance that we are going to look at and how to deal with it. This is coming from my experience dealing with anger through my practice of anger management San Diego.
There a few options in dealing with issues of anger. But what I want to key in on is why we need to address it. Such as the consequences of uncontrollable anger.
Well for extreme instances of drastic anger, it can lead to violence a lot of times. A lot of times an emotion that can turn out of control can cause violent acts towards the ones you love. A person who could be loving and caring to his family, could suddenly be provoked to anger towards those same loved ones.We all have read or heard of stories regarding crimes of passion. Most of the time that passion was anger. If your anger seems uncontrollable and violent at times that is when it is best to seek anger management counseling.
Sometimes even depression can lead to anger management issues and that is when you need to seek depression counseling.
Anger is an emotion you don’t want to leave untreated if it does start to get violent.
Then of course you have cases of lesser violence, but it still needs to be addressed. Such as letting little things get you angry and cause you not to think properly. This can hurt relationships. It could affect jobs. It could affect your performance with many
tasks.Anger in that instance, can in fact lower your judgement. As talked about earlier, even though less violent, it is somethign you have to confront.
By tackling the issue of anger in counseling you can help the quality of your life to improve. You can help improve your job performance, your relationships, and a lot of other things.
Not dealing with anger can lead to many bad effects. Effects that could have easily been avoided through caring counseling. I know and have seen it firsthand through my practice as a family therapist San Diego.
Do not allow something as emotional as anger get the best of yourself. It can be helped and treated.
