dental insurance and plans? i live near houghton lake michigan, and i need to see a dentist badly!! i lost my dental coverage when i turned 21, and because of my age change, i am no longer able to get free dental coverage through my state. i have 3 children all under the age of 4 that need me, and because of the pain im experiencing it is extremely difficult for me to take care of them!!! i have 5 cavities, and 2 impacted wisdom teeth. i brush every day, but i keep getting problems with my teeth. i am on a very tight budget, and cannot afford to pay out of pocket fees to go to a dentist. does anybody know of affordable plans or insurance? or if anyone is familier with the area that knows of a dentist that accepts sliding fees? any help would be awesome! thanks in advance.

Since I quit my job in CA to move here I applied for state assistance with health insurance while I interviewed and went through the normal probationary period before my insurance kicks in in AZ. I am a married student, how can I afford pregnancy insurance? I am a 22 yr old married college student. I have been married to my wife for 2 years. We don't plan on having any kids until after we both graduate from school, but there is a problem with this: accidents happen. I've looked all over the internet and we cannot afford a regular insurance plan, (especially one that includes pregnancy coverage). My wife and I aren't very sick-prone people, and we tend to do the chicken-soup/home remedy thing, so all we really need is an affordable "emergencies" health plan, which I've already researched and we can afford. Unfortunately, none of the emergency plans cover pregnancy. So, my question is: Can my wife and I sign up for a health plan with pregnancy coverage AFTER she has become pregnant? Lost heath/dental insurance, anything more affordable than COBRA? I just graduated from college and have 30 days to determind if I stay with the COBRA plan (about $350 a month) or find other insurance. I don't mind having to use in-network doctors. I'm also based in NJ if that makes a difference. Any ideas on what I can use? Much appreciated. Another question to compound to the previous. Is pain relief only for the rich? It can be said that emergency care is equally available for all due to the ethic of care without regard to financial ability to pay. What about pain relief or maintenance? If you are not too poor for medicaid and your job does not offer an affordable insurance plan, what do people do who injure themselves and cant afford prescriptions to relieve pain?
