What are the reasons to get both Short-term and long-term disability income insurance? I'm thoroughly confused as usual. But, if you have the option to get both short and long term disability insurance why would you? Does the short term cover things the long term doesn't? Doesn't long term cover the short term period as well anyway? Or do you have to have both to be covered in the immediate future and long term??? Why does everything have to be so complicated why cant there just be one kind of disability insurance its soo annoying....Which one would you get or would you get both???? arrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggg. I'm only 28 so don't know if thats a factor, in relatively good health...but in a profession that can be dangerous. Mental health field, direct care. What about individual policies, should I consider paying outside of the company if they dont offer both of these..... thank you for any assistance
cost of disability income insurance premiums? which one is not a major factors affecting the cost of disability income insurance premiums? age, waiting period, place of residence, or amount of salary to be replaced? I was thinking of place of residence because I don't think the place where you are living will increase your possibility of claiming the insurance. Do you think it is the right one?
disability insurance percentage of income covered? my long term disability income insurance policy is set at 60% of my salary covering through age 65 I also have a short term policy that covers me until that 180 days is up and the long term kicks in, does this sound sufficient or should I get an life insurance policy with a monthly disability rider which pays an income as well that my insurance agent is trying to sell me to support my long term policy.. I dont make enough income to qualify for any of my insurance agents supplemental long term disability plans to help with the long term plan I have through work thats why he suggested the life insurance with the monthly disability rider
short-term disability income insurance, question about premiuim? I pay for my short-term through work which covers me for 6 months in the event of a disability but could get additional months coverage to compliment my long-term policy which kicks in after 6 months. Does the premium you pay for a Short-Term group plan cost more if you choose a plan when applying for coverage with a longer duration of coverage, since the insurance company would be taking a greater financial risk having to pay you for additional months. Say you got the plan with with 12 months coverage as opposed to only 6 months would that mean in the event of a disability that lasts atleast a year the insurance company would be paying your income for a much longer duration of time (6 more months) thus requiring a higher premium due to the added financial risk they are taking due to length of payments (12 months)?
Can someone explain this to me?? on Disability Income Insurance? "guaranteed Renewable". When premiums are changed by "class"....what does that mean? The rates aren't changed on an individual basis, but for all policy holders? Is there a cap on how much the premiums can increase? Is there a rider available for Total Disability Benefit after 24 months if I can't perform the duties of my own occupation?
who knows:i currently get disability income and insurance but? i moved and the ssi office didnt get my info so they canceled the dental was getting. i paid $900.00 the other day to have two wisdom teeth pulled but is there any way i can get the state to pay me back since i paid for this out of my own pocket?? thank you
I just went on temporary disability and my Insurance specialist co-pays exeed my income.? My doctor just put me on temporary disability and I was told that I need to see a specialist three to four times a week. Unfortunately, my Aetna health coverage co-pays for specialist are $40 per visit. With my lowered income from disability, I can not afford paying $160 a week. Afterall, I pay $150 per paycheck already for this coverage. I really don't know what to do. We need to eat and pay our bills. Help!
anybody familiar with a "monthly disability rider" attached to a life insurance policy? any catches here sounds too good to be true like knocking out two birds with one stone. Is it as good as short/long term disability income insurance? the way it was explained to me is that it actually works the same way as disability income insurance as it will allow you to deduct from the overall amount of life insurance your covered for by month. For instance, you have 100,000 you get disabled for 4 months, and you take out 2000 a month and end up at the end with a 92,000 policy.
disability insurance question? im in what you could call a temporary position even though I'm getting 43 hrs a week, still part-time as the company hasn't switched my status to full time and most likely wont change it while in this position. Im only filling in for someone who is absent due to pregnancy. I make a measly 10 bucks an hr and as I said the position is temporary and sooner or later I should be moving into a real position that has a salary compatible with someone with a masters degree which may or may not be with the same company. So my reasoning is that I should just wait until I have a full-time position with stability and good income before I worry about getting short and/or long term disability income insurance...Does that reasoning make sense to others or should i get disability anyway even though my salary is bound to change probably within no later than 3 or 4 months....?? oh by the way as a part-time employee I would have to also purchase the disability income insurance outside of the company since it isnt offered for parttime employees. im 28 years old im healthy and have a good deal of savings wouldnt social security or whatever governmental or state funding care for my needs if I became disabled anyway since im only making 10 bucks an hr I wouldnt see it being much of a stretch what sort of requirements are there for a person to get help from the government in the case of a disability?
social security disability income question? are there any guidelines as to how much a person on social security disability income insurance can expect to get back, I haven't found any numbers on any website so I guess it may be hard to say, does it depend on years worked or income before the disability or what? does age or years worked matter in relation to the amount of check you get back? because I havent been holding down a "real" job for more than four years
How does a disabled CDN move to the U.S. and get a disability income in Davenport , Iowa? I live in Ontario,Canada and have been disabled for 12 years now and I get Ontario disability as my income. I have no living family here except for my 2 kids who are 13 & 16 and would like to move to Davenport, Iowa next summer or early fall but I have no clue on how to go about getting a disability income there, or medical insurance etc. I do plan on getting married once I am settled there to my fiance but need to have some kind of income to support my kids and I and medical insurance to cover all my drugs. Please help ! The man I am marrying is also disabled and that is why I am asking what or if my options would be.
Are rates for disability insurance different in different states? To clarify: I own Guardian own-occupation disability insurance, which was initiated in California. Given a recent income increase, I am eligible to exercise a rider to increase my disability coverage. Are my premiums going to go up a different amount if I increase my coverage through my agent in CA than if I increase it through a different agent, say, in Ohio? Are these riders and insurance premiums nationally uniform for personal disability insurance plans through Guardian?
Need $$ help and/or govt grant to rebuild burnt house no insurance & on disability only $800/mo total income? My friend Vicki is on disability, can't work, gets only $800 per month total income, would work if she could, has several medical problems, owns a very small house (600 sq ft) but could not afford insurance and had a fire in early Jan 07, attic/roof burned and water damage thru-out house, utilities are off, house is uninhabitable, she has been staying w/ friends or in motel but can't afford that. house needs to be gutted and rebuilt or torn down completely and new house built from foundation up. wish extreme makeover would do it but probably not. Looking for any information on getting $$ help from private or public sectors, volunteers, organizations or firms to donate work/labor/materials to help her not be homeless. have looked on HUD website, hard to wade thru it all, hoping someone knows a short-cut. she lives in Kansas City, MO. Thank you.
Do I need to pay personal income tax? I have been receiving a monthly disability income from my private disability insurance company, is this taxable? I know for a fact that the social security disability income (SSDI) that I have been receiving is not taxable because the amount is not sufficient to file a tax return, but I am not sure about the private disability insurance benefits. I live in California. If you pay the entire cost of a health or accident insurance plan, do not include any amounts you receive for your disability as income on your tax return.
disability income? I was in a severe car accident 2 weeks ago and haven't worked since. Should I be entitled to something like disabilty insurance or something else due to my lack of income at this point?
DISABILITY INSURANCE.....Who Has Been On Disability, and How Do You Sign Up For It? I am going to have surgery in a couple of weeks, and will not be able to work for about a 2 months. Is disability insurance a part of your health insurance?? If it is not work related, and I will not be getting worker's comp, will I still be able to get some kind of income while out of work? I've never had to be on disability before, and don't know anything about getting it.
Disability Income Tax in Canada? I have been receiving both a Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and a disability benefit from my private disability insurance company. Neither of which is taxable in USA. My personal income tax has been zero for many years. However, if I immigrate to Canada, how much of my income will be taxable there???
Where can I get life insurance for a person with a mental disability? I need to get life Insurance for my husband (42 yrs. old) who has a mental disability called Paranoid Schizophrania. We had life insurance for him before, but when he got sick, and had to leave his job, we ran into hard times. I was the only source of income at the time, and it was only enough for the basic necessities in life. I couldn't keep the payments on his insurance. We waited months to hear something from Social Security Disability, and by that time I had lost his insurance. When we started getting a little more income from his disability, and applied at different Insurance Companies for Insurance for him , they turn him down. They considered people with mental disabilities a risk. The Insurance Companies didn't say this in so many words, but when you answered their health questions truthfully, and get denied. It's not hard to figure out. We ended up getting him burial insurance, but we both are bothered that he can't leave much to me and our daughter. I do have a policy.
How much is disability insurance? I am doing this for a school project and I just need a rough estimate for the annual cost. Information Age: 35 Income: $75,000 Male, Engineer If there are different types of disability insurance, please just recommend one for me. Again, all I need is a number. I am not looking for an "It depends on..." answer. Thank you.
insurance settlement and disability insurance due to pregnancy? I am currently receiving a check every month from my mom's car accident settlement, but now i have to take maternity leave because I am pregnant. Will this affect my eligibility for the disability insurance? and where on the EDD form do i report this income?
Group health insurance and disability: Does group health coverage continue if I become disabled? In a typical policy, is there a requirement that coverage continues for an employee who becomes disabled? If not, how does one insure against this event? Although I have both group health coverage and group (and individual) disability coverage, I am concerned that the disability policies only replace income, and that the health insurance would terminate if I left employment by reason of disability, leaving me with no health insurance coverage. This might really be a problem if my disability were one that required significant medical treatment. Any thoughts?
What retirement options for long-term disability? - With disability insurance providing your income, can you invest in an IRA account (i.e. does it count as earnings)? - Is there any way to invest in a 401k? Are you no longer eligible for your previous employer's 401k, or can you ever remain in that plan even if you are no longer working for that employer?
Where is the best state and city in the US to live, if one has no insurance but has some medical problems? Also, no disability insurance, but enough income to live comfortably if careful with money? Not enough money to purchase so-called 'high-risk' insurance, but enough to buy needed medicines for a chronic condition, the kind insurance companies refuse to issue policies because of? I know that Texas is NOT the place, but it's where I live, and I'd like to move without making more mistakes. Somewhere nice for older, retired folks would be a boon.
How can low-income people *afford* lower cost health insurance? Huckleberry suggested that low-income people will be able to afford low-cost private health insurance--but he doesn't say *how* that will be possible. Guliani says that with tax credits, people will be able to afford low-cost insurance. (How is that possible?) I haven't figured what the other GOP candidates want, but how can low-income people--and those on disability--be able to afford expensively HUGE health-insurance plans on what little money that is already afforded to them per month?
I need someone who is familiar with disability insurance. I have been on disability for just over 2? years. I have been on ss disability, my former employer's disability policy, & my own disability policy. August 25 will be the last payment from my former employer's disability company. I can't meet my expenses without that income so I called my insurance company to find out if my benefits would be affected if I found a part-time job. I still have three years on my "own occupation." She said I would probably have to be re-evaluated. The only test I had done was a neurological-psychological exam two years ago. That would be the only way to re-evaluate me and the test showed I had permanent brain damage and my doctors have told me I can't be a legal secretary anymore, I can't work under a lot of stress, and I can't multi-task. I have cognitive problems that affect my ability to process what I hear to hard copy. Nothing is going to change that. Today I received a request for my '06 tax returns and two releases for my psychiatrist and therapist for their records. Any advice?
Short term disability insurance help? I'm scheduled to have a hip replacement in May. My question is this: is there any type of insurance (i.e.- AFLAC) that can help with some of the medical expenses that I will incur or even help with the lost income? I've heard of short term disability insurance but am not familiar with the particulars. Please note: I have a husband who has a decent job and am not looking for government assistance. Any help is appreciated. I have very good medical insurance that will cover the majority of the surgery, etc. I would just like to minimize the out of pocket expenses. My best friend did something similar when she was pregnant to cover her maternity leave so I know it's possible and definitely not insurance fraud. It's not available through my employer (I work for the state). I have a flexible spending account which will help and about a month of sick leave. I just want to make sure that I haven't missed anything that might help. Look, I'm not trying to take advantage of anything or screw any policy holders out of money. I certainly didn't mean to incite such anger. I'm just wondering if there might be a help meet out there. It's a perfectly logical, legitimate question. I asked for help, not to be attacked. Geez.
How long can u be on Short Term Disability in IL & still get paid? I have short term disability insurance at work, I have been employeed there for 1 1/2 yrs. How many months can you be off of work & still get paid through your short term disability insurance? What % of your income does short term disability pay (before or after taxes)?
How to buy a house on limited Soc. Sec. Disability income? My total income is less than $1,000 a month. My medical expenses are mostly covered by medicare, so they are almost zero. I owe no debts right now. I'd like to know how to buy a decent (mobile?) home in a decent area. I have poor credit but have been working on it. I'm spening almost 850 a month on rent and utilities anyway!! Keep hearing how it's better to own a home, etc. Why not find a small home instead?? Total payments including principal, intereste, taxes, and insurance cannot exceed $900 a month. If this is possible, please tell me EXACTLY how to accomplish it. Thanks! Turned down by my own bank. I should be up front and note that, because of my low income, my own bank (Wells Fargo) declined my application on a home (when I offered to pay down a $12,000 down payment; my savings). I've been with Wells Fargo for years, and was dissappointed that something could not be worked out.

What are good ideas for networking and generating leads.? I am working as a financial representative for a top rated insurance company. We offer a range of products, but I mainly deal with life insurance, disability income, and long term care. My client base is solely built off of referrals and I am having problems getting enough names. I am looking for some good ways to meet more business people around Denver, and grow my business.
Guardian disability insurance questions? Is this a good policy? My broker says it's better than Aflac because it's non-cancellable and lasts until I'm 65 should I need it. He said that as a white-collar professional, long-term disability ins is important for me which I can understand since I need to protect my income. He gave me a health questionnaire to fill out. I'm not totally comfortable filling it out - is it standard to fill one out and do a physical exam and bloodwork like they want? If I take this policy, does this long-term disability ins totally replace Aflac (I have a 6 month policy through my employer). Does it make a difference that my broker is a proponent of the Lifetime Economic Acceleration Process (LEAP), which I think is hooey (I know LEAP is a subsidiary of Guardan)? Aside from that his description of Guardian disability insurance makes it seem like a good choice among several (Met, NY, Std).
what if a insurance company stops paying your disability coverage on your home and it goes intoi power of sale I was forced to move out of my home, I informed my bank that my motorcycle insurance company was delaying my income replacement benefits. I shut off my utilities, and moved in with my parents, until I could return to work and afford to live at my home. I purchased My disability insurance from the bank that held my mortgage. I had payed on my mortgage flawlessly until the accident. I had given the bank my new contact phone number which i talked to them with before. I went for surgery on april 1st. they stopped paying my mortgage on april 23rd, 4 months after they started. They sent me a letter in march explaining that they would pay my mortgage directly so I would not see payments coming out of my account. I returned to work in September. I informed the bank to stop payments as I was back to work, they informed me that my house was in power of sale. They had changed my locks and locked me out. I called the Insurance company, they back payed my payments can I sue I had to pay 7500 in fee
I am on Supplementary Security Income for a disability. Looking for facts regarding health insurance.? I am on SSI for a disability. I would like to attempt working, but I'm worried about losing my Medicaid and more importantly my wife's Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield. I receive approximately $650 monthly from SSI and my wife earns approximately the same. I would like to return to work part time first and then hopefully full time if all goes well. The money isn't as big of a concern because working I know will make up for the lost SSI and is the right thing to do if I am able to hold a job. If anyone knows the facts of income and health insurance while married and on SSI please help. My state is NY. Thanks in advance.
Income Tax and Private Health Inusrance in Australia? I am 49 years old from USA, recently approved for a spouse visa in Australia. I have two simple questions: (1.) I have been receiving a disability pension from the US government and from my private disability insurance company for a number of years due to viral encephalitis, both of which are tax free in the U.S., will I have to pay income tax in Australia? (2.) I applied and was approved with an Australian Medicare card. What is the best private health insurance for me to supplement my Medicare insurance? Thanks for your time! I posted similar questions at the website of www.gomatilda.com/ with little results. Thanks.
Is major depressive disorder considered a disability? Would someone with this condition due to the side effects of taking increased levels of cortisol for another congenital condition qualify for disability income or state assistance if they currently do not have health insurance. * I have studied psychology and along with self diagnosis I have been diagnosed by a licensed endocrinologist to have this condition.
Can someone who is self employed collect Disability Insurance from the EDD? My Dad was informed not long ago that he has throat cancer. He cannot work until December 2008 because he will be going through radiation treatment and what not. He has been self employed since the middle of 2006. He owns his own Water Truck and started his own business is construction with the truck. When things would get slow with water trucking(winter time is when mostly all construction type jobs slow down) he would drive truck through a company, and have a boss, get a paycheck from someone else...he wasn't his own boss. But that was a very small portion of each year...most of all his income was from his own business. What I want to find out is if there is a way that he can collect dissability insurance based on what he made through his own company? He pays taxes at the end of each year, and has health insurance, recieved a letter saying he cannot work until December 2008, etc. Can he recieve disability Insurance from the EDD? Anything is helpful, thank you!
Can a stay-at-home-mom get disability insurance? I am 28 years old and became a stay-at-home-mom when I was 22, I worked up until I was a few months pregnant, then tried to become a working mom for 6 months but it didn't work out for us. Now I am facing a diagnosis of MS, not for sure but its likely. Everything I read says I won't qualify for disability. Sure cash would be nice, but not necessary, but I WILL need medical care. Medicaid leaves me with a 1700.00 share-of-cost per month, more than HLAF our gross income and we have 3 kids. What the heck will I do to get the medical care I need if I am indded diagnosed with MS? I can't work, can't afford daycare and I get sick (with ms symptoms) so often I can't hold a job. I am terrified I won;t get the care I need. Can anyone offer any advice? For medicaid I have a 1700.00 share of cost for medicaid, I cannot get insurance because when they pull my records I clearly have something wrong, so I am either denied or given a very high rate we can't afford. At last check it was over 1000.00 a month for my husband insurance. My last SS statement said I would get like 430.00 a month id disabled, more for the kids... but I haven't worked since becoming a SAHM.
When should a person file for disability if he is missing too many days from work due to illness.? I have short term and long term disability insurance at work. I have also used up fmla and went on supplemental medical leave. I have since gone back to work and accumulated additional fmla, but still my attendance is not what it should be. my question is, instead of geting fired for poor attendance and losing my insurance, and job, when should i file for disability insurance which i have been paying for for sixteen years. It would be less than my earned income but would be better than nothing and no other employer would pay what i could draw on disability.
Should I max out on my long term disability insurance or is LTD insurance a scam? As far as I can tell LTD will not come close to paying out it's maximum promises because they "offset" any other sources of income!!! I am paying big time monthly payments for supposedly $3000 a month (assuming I get injured off duty), but after offsetting it appears LTD will only pay me $1300 a month. So why should I max out on my LTD insurance instead of paying for just $1300 worth? Maxing out costs $90 a month and paying for $1300 coverage will only cost $30 a month. Is my figuring and thinking correct on this subject?
Does anyone in GA know of any unemployment/short-term disability insurance for high-risk pregnancies? I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second child and because of some complications and the fact that my first child was born premature, I am now considered to be high risk. I work full-time right now, but I am not going to be able to work much longer because I am supposed to stay off my feet per the doctor's orders. I think I have heard of programs or insurance for situations like this somewhere, but from reading on the state's department of labor website, it does not seem like I qualify for unemployment insurance because I am leaving my job by my choice. Has anyone been in this situation before? Is there any program or service or insurance that might work for me? It is just not an option for my family right now to not have some sort of second income coming in. I really appreciate any advice you guys may have. I have always worked full-time and had money coming in, and this has me scared! BTW- The company I have worked for for the past year only has 8 employees (so no FMLA) Regarding the Medicaid answers, thank you, but I am confused, isn't Medicaid just for medical insurance? I guess my question was not really clear, I am now covered for medical insurance, I need something that will help supplement/replace my income while I am unable to work. Does Medicaid have a program like that? Thanks again!

If I go homeless, will I lose my SSDI (social security disability insurance) and/or my SSI? (SSI = Social Security Income). I am worried because I know the amount they pay me is based on how high my rent is. So if suddenly I have no home, and no rent, it seems they might decrease the amount they give me. I'm in New Mexico. Thanks in advance for your reply. I was thinking about moving into a travel trailer on a friend's rural land, where there's no address. Technically speaking, I'd be homeless.
combining long and short term disability policies or two long term policies etc..? is it true that you cant get over 100% of your salary when you have multiple disability insurance policies from the same or varying companies. anotherwords, you cant take your 100% short term policy and combine it with an overlapping long term policy that covers at 60% and expect to get 160% back in income due to disability per month. It would just be 100%. The same with two different long term policies right? you won't be able to make back more than what your actually monthly income is at 100%.
I need a LOAN to make repairs on my home. I own my home outright but my only income is disability.? Is there a special program for people like me - government or otherwise? My bank will not make me a home equity loan because they say my income-to-debt ratio will be too high. The "energy efficiency" program offered to low income people with older homes has a 5-8 year wait in my part of Texas. Hurricane Rita affected my roof - but not enough for my home-owner's insurance to cover. State Farm said my roof was already over 15 years old and probably needed to be replaced anyway. They also said that the damage was not severe enough -just multiple leaks but no shingles torn off. I need a NEW ROOF most of all, especially before there's anymore damage inside my home. Does anyone know where I can turn for a loan or a grant? Thank you, Terri

Short Term Disability W-2 Income? My wife has paid her STD premium on a post tax basis and received the bebefit with no taxes taken out. I got a W-2 from the insurance company with Wages in Box 1 and Box 2 has amount of Federal Taxes withdrawn, which was $0. This will increase of AGI, but taxes paid will be the same, meaning I will owe more in taxes. I thought if you paid the premium in a post tax basis, it is tax free? Can anyone help?
Can I claim Medicare insurance premiums on my income tax return as deductions for medical expenses? And the same for Medicare "Part D" Drug prescription coverage premiums? I am on disability, and normally would not have to file income tax for that reason, but this year I became a landlord, renting out my old house...moved to an apartment due to the disabilities, so I have to declare that income, (which isn't MUCH at all, after paying the mortgage) so I may as well take all the medical expense deductions that I can while I am at it, right? And believe me, Medicare takes a HUGE chunk every month for these premiums from my disability check! Seems I should be entitled to using those as deductions on my income tax return. Also, I attempted to open up a small at home web business this year, since I am disabled....and that investment was large.....can I deduct that as a business expense? (The company has not made any sales yet) Please answer only if you have had expert experience in government tax laws. how can I apply for short time disability in tennessee? I had a heart attack, and no disability insurance through my employer. I also have diabetes, blood pressure, and high cholestrol. The doctor says I can`t go back to work yet, but I have 2 kids and a wife, and no source of income. How do I apply for temporary disability through state, but not have to wait forever to get it..
Inexpensive car insurance for person driving MUCH less than 2000 miles a year? My brother is on disability income and has about $600 a month to live on. He really needs to have a car because he lives in a rural area and there is no public transportation whatsoever. He doesn't have much money for gas, but the insurance is really the killer, it's about $150 a month at state farm (and he insures his home with that company also). does anyone know any good options for him to save money? Is it legal if he just ditches the car and the insurance and drives one of my cars some of the time, or is that fraud? He does not drive to work or school, only to get groceries/prescriptions etc. The county workers just roll their eyes and sigh and say transportation is a problem. And they don't help. Can I add him to my policy? He's in the same zip code, about 8 miles away. He already doesn't have collision or comprehensive, it's an old car.And he has great credit and no accidents/moving violations. Thanks for any help you can give!
Disabled wife insurance question? My wife is completely disabled at the age of 50, and I frequently wonder whether I have enough insurance. When I talk to an agent all they want to do is sell me lots of it no matter what I tell them. We don't have a lot of money, since the damage from the cancer she had was severe and took what little we had in savings, so along with continuing costs money is a concern for the here and now of course. I would hate for her to end up in a state nursing home because I didn't leave her with enough to take care of herself if that wasn't necessary. We have two children and at the moment she can't get out of bed without me lifting her and putting her in a wheelchair, although we're working on getting her more mobile. The kids are ages 10 and 14. Advoce would be appreciated. Her current disability income is around $1,000 a month, and my salary is around $45k.
Feeling guilty for wanting to leave my bipolar spouse after 20 years? I have married my wife 20 years this December. Looking back she the more than likely was developing the diese then. 5 years later things started getting worse, and have continued to get worse to present. She was finnally dianosed 5 years ago as being Bipolor. Meds seem to help at times, but then we are back to the mania and depression. Se hasn't worked on over 6 years. I have taken a second full time job to make ends meet. When the depression hits there is no cooking, cleaning, much less conversation. Sex is just a memory, although, (Yes ladies i am man) I think that to be a very important aspect of marrige. The mania manifest itself as anger, not usually at me, but at anything or anyone she seems to be fixated on at the time. We went though a round not long ago and It finnally hit me, that this is going to be the rest of my life. I am not going to leave her cold, I still love her to much for that. We have to get her on disability income and insurance. To be continued...... The house is paid for so she can have that and most of what is in the banking accounts. I still love her but don't think I can go though much more of this. My own mental health is starting to fail.
Hubby Wants Divorce, I Have No Income? My tight wad husband wants a divorce. He makes $70,000.00 a year at one job, with his side job he makes over $100,00.00. I use to work but filed for disability about a year and a half ago. I'm still waiting on that. So I have no income. And no insurance without him. We have been married for 7 years. All this time he has been very greedy and selfish with HIS money. I get nothing but a roof over my head and he pays for my prescriptions. I'm trying to figure out if me waiting for disabilty will have a bearing on spousal support. Also, is there any way to make him cover me on insurance until the disability comes through? I'm very scared and upset that I will be left out in the cold.
