How much is disability insurance?
I am doing this for a school project and I just need a rough estimate for the annual cost. Information Age: 35 Income: $75,000 Male, Engineer If there are different types of disability insurance, please just recommend one for me. Again, all I need is a number. I am not looking for an "It depends on..." answer. Thank you.

- I am on disability. My rate was determined by the amount that was paid in by my employers through my working carer

- Long term disability, with a six month waiting period, use $4500 a year. It won't be off by much, assuming by engineer, you mean, desk job - and not a petroleum engineer going offshore.
